Let’s get composting!: As part of the Food Partnership’s new food waste campaign we are looking at how we can support people to come together on a local level to organise composting schemes. This could be in a street, on an allotment site or at a school or workplace.
There is legislation that you need to be aware of if you want to compost on a community level and strict rules about what can and can’t be transported for compost. However these aren’t insurmountable and this event is for anyone who is interested in seeing what is possible.
We are holding an event to discuss these issues on Monday 26 April from 6:00 - 8:30pm at Community Base (refreshments from 6:00, speakers from 6:30). See attached flier for more info.
The event is free but please book your place by emailing liz@bhfood.org.uk or calling 01273 431700. Hope to see you there!
